We’re on the lookout for a dedicated full-time physiotherapist to join our dynamic team. While we have a preference for those with out-patient experience and an interest in sports injuries, we warmly welcome all applicants, including recent graduates.

Our clinic in New Plymouth is a modern haven with individual treatment rooms and comprehensive staff facilities in a medical practice setting. At Physiotherapy@Carefirst, we specialize in treating a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries and repetitive overuse to spinal dysfunctions and general acute musculoskeletal injuries. What sets us apart is our strong network of treatment providers, working on a variety of ACC contracts, including SAW, PMS, BTW, TI, and Concussion programs.

We are also extremely proud to announce that we are the Physiotherapy provider for all Taranaki Rugby Union Football Union Teams, including the Bulls and Whio.

We operate from three separate clinic sites and also offer Pilates classes off-site. Our philosophy is centred around “hands-on” manual therapy complemented by tailored exercise rehabilitation.
To ensure the highest standards of treatment, we have three physiotherapists with postgraduate qualifications, ready to support your professional development.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with your experience, ensuring that your hard work and dedication are duly rewarded.

What we Require from You:

Current APC and current PNZ membership (or be in the process of applying for APC and PNZ membership)
Relevant Physiotherapy Tertiary level degree

Physiotherapy Board and Visa Process:

To practice physiotherapy in New Zealand, you will need to be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.

Physiotherapy@Carefirst is a busy physiotherapy practice in the largest medical centre in New Plymouth, with over 12,000 patients registered at the medical centre. We require a Locum Physiotherapist, preferably with some out-patient experience and an interest in sports injuries.

Physiotherapy@Carefirst is a modern clinic with individual treatment rooms and with full staff facilities in the medical practice. We treat a combination of sports injuries, repetitive overuse, spinal dysfunctions along with general acute musculoskeletal injuries. Additionally, we have strong links with other treatment providers delivering a variety of ACC contracts including SAW, PMS, BTW and TI programmes.

Our clinic has a strong emphasis on “hands on” manual therapy along with the appropriate exercise rehabilitation. Physiotherapy@Carefirst has 3 Physiotherapist’s with Post Graduate qualifications to ensure extremely high treatment standards. Applicants must have a New Zealand Annual practicing certificate and a valid New Zealand visa if required.

This position is for a Locum physiotherapist, either part time or full time from June-August 2023.
